Size and Depth: 

Fish Cave is about 250 meters long, making it smaller than some other caves in the park. The cave's depth does not exceed 15 meters. Inside, the cave has a reasonable width, but some sections are narrow, requiring visitors to squeeze through in some places. The terrain inside the cave is uneven, with varying elevations. In some spots, visitors may need to crouch or crawl through narrow passages, adding an element of adventure to the exploration.


Interior Features: 

Fish Cave is distinguished by its underground water source, which is teeming with local fish, especially carp and snakehead fish. Visitors can clearly see the fish swimming in the clear, clean water, providing an exciting experience. The cave also features stalactites and stalagmites scattered throughout. These formations vary in shape and size, with some resembling aquatic animals like fish, shrimp, or coral, giving the cave the appearance of a dry underwater world. The underground water source within the cave is the heart of Fish Cave and attracts many visitors who want to experience the beauty of nature up close. In addition to the fish in the natural water source, the nearby area is home to other small aquatic creatures like freshwater shrimp and small fish, which can sometimes be spotted in the cave's clear waters. The cave also has a small waterfall area, creating a refreshing and peaceful atmosphere.


History and Legends: 

Fish Cave has an intriguing local legend. It is said that a revered monk once practiced meditation in the cave and discovered its sacred power, particularly the underground water source with its sacred fish that could bring good fortune and prosperity to those who worshipped there. The fish in the cave are believed to be protected by spirits, making it taboo for anyone to harm or catch them. Additionally, there is a story that deep within the cave, there is a hidden passage that connects to other caves in the park, but no one has ever explored it fully.


What to Bring: 

Visitors planning to explore Fish Cave should bring a sufficiently bright flashlight, as parts of the cave can be dark and some sections may have slippery paths. Non-slip shoes and water-resistant clothing are recommended. Bringing water and light snacks is also a good idea, as the exploration can be tiring.


Getting There: 

Fish Cave is located not far from Cheow Lan Lake. The journey begins from the pier, similar to the route to Coral Cave, but Fish Cave is closer. The boat ride takes about 30 minutes. After disembarking, you need to hike a short forest trail of about 10-15 minutes to reach the cave entrance. The trail to Fish Cave is convenient and not too difficult.
